Be a part of the Tulip Fest’s ‘Pop-up Uke Troupe’, a fun, participatory, family-friendly musical event. The Pop-up Uke Troupe will gather ukulele players and singers of all ages and abilities for a musical tour, experiencing the Byward Market from a busker’s perspective.
This Ukebox Pub Jam will be at a different location than our home Pub at the Clocktower. We’re looking to get together in other brew pubs, coffee shops and inspiring spaces around the city, just to shake things up a bit.
This is a casual daytime musical experience where we will build a repertoire of instrumental music arranged in two to four parts. The repertoire ranges from classical to traditional to contemporary music.
Continuing Ukulele is intended to help you expand skills in three main areas: strumming; finger-picking; and melodic playing. Think of it as an exercise class, a place to practice and push your playing skills to the next level.
Beginner Ukulele Part 2 builds and develops the skills acquired in Part 1 without skipping a beat. At the end of this session, all of the essential techniques of ukulele playing will have been explored.
Learn to play the ukulele in just 4 lessons. This introductory class starts right at the beginning and builds skill by skill. No previous musical experience is expected or necessary.
